Many believe you run to get fit, I believe you should be fit to run. Running is a massively high impact sport and your core and joints should be ready to withstand the pressure placed on them. All runners will carrying out appropriate strength and conditioning exercises to ensure they are better equip to cope with the demands of running. The majority of runs are carried out off road to reduce the impact experienced on the joints. If you would like to have a go just give us a call, first session is free!

In the work place we tend to reward ourselves with refined sugar.

I, like many of you spent years sitting or should I say slouching at my desk studying/working for hours at the time not truly appreciating the impact it was having on my posture, core strength and general flexibility/mobility. Hours of sitting in the same, possibly incorrect position can result in neck/back problems, rounding of the shoulders, shortening of the hip flexors and thigh muscles.

So what is HIIT training and why should I train in this way?

HIIT training is a style of training where you work as hard as you possibly can for a short burst followed by a short recovery which could be an active recovery. This style of training increases and maintains heart rate which in turn burns more fat in a shorter space of time. Give us a call if you would like to try a free session!
